Founded and run by a mother of two, the brand has grown into one of South Africa's most trusted names in lactation nutrition — with a product range trusted by thousands of moms across the country and into neighbouring markets.

Their philosophy, Science Meets Motherhood™, underpins everything they do: every product is formulated to be not only effective, but safe, clean, and enjoyable to use. The range includes a signature line of lactation lattés (Chocolate, Toffee Caramel, Hazelnut, Rooibos, and more), alongside a growing Mommy Essentials range. All products are Halaal certified, GMP manufactured, and free from fenugreek, caffeine, gluten, and soya.

Our Role

Generation Health Solutions partnered with Made To Lactate as a trusted supplier of premium functional ingredients and as the contract manufacturer for their Krill Oil Omega-3 capsule product.

Ingredients Supplied for the Lactation Latté Range

Three speciality ingredients from the Generation Health Solutions portfolio were selected for inclusion in the Made To Lactate latté formulations, each chosen to elevate the nutritional profile of the range beyond a standard lactation supplement:

BA10 Nutritional Yeast A high-quality nutritional yeast providing a natural source of B-vitamins, protein, and beta-glucans. In the context of lactation support, BA10 contributes to sustained energy levels, immune function, and overall maternal nourishment — aligning with Made To Lactate's goal of supporting the whole mother, not just milk supply.

Carnipure® L-Carnitine Carnipure® is the globally recognised, pharmaceutical-grade L-carnitine brand from Lonza, known for its exceptional purity and traceability. L-carnitine supports cellular energy metabolism, making it a meaningful addition for postpartum mothers managing fatigue and physical recovery alongside the demands of feeding a newborn.

Quatrefolic® Quatrefolic® is the fourth-generation folate, delivering 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) — the biologically active form of folate that is directly usable by the body, regardless of MTHFR gene variation. Unlike standard folic acid, Quatrefolic® supports folate requirements during breastfeeding with superior bioavailability, contributing to maternal wellbeing and the nutritional quality of breast milk.

Contract Manufacturing: Krill Oil Omega-3 Capsules

In addition to ingredient supply, Generation Health Solutions manufactured the Made To Lactate™️ Krill Oil Omega-3 capsules — a premium supplement naturally sourced from Antarctic krill.

Key product attributes:

• Source: Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba), harvested under strict environmental regulations

• Delivery form: LiGel® softgel capsules (glycerol, purified water, sorbitol)

• Omega-3 form: Phospholipid-bound EPA and DHA for enhanced cellular absorption

• Naturally occurring actives: Astaxanthin (antioxidant) and choline (liver and cognitive support)

• No fishy aftertaste

The product was developed to support breastfeeding and postpartum mothers specifically — with DHA transferring through breast milk to support infant brain and visual development — as well as pregnant women and general wellness consumers.
